Servicing

When asking your chosen garage to service your car, it's important that you establish what the service includes.

Some garages will only change your oil filter, others will carry out a full service. A good garage will follow a service checklist and give you a copy of that completed checklist as confirmation of a job well done.

Most modern cars only need a service once a year, but older cars require a service once every six months. The manufacturer's service hand book will set what is best for your car. The type of service you need will also be affected by how you use your car. For example, lots of short journeys where the engine does not have a chance to warm up properly will probably mean more frequent oil and filter changes.

Ask to speak to a mechanic or technician about the problem. Explain the problem in as much detail as you can. If you can, include when the problem occurs, for example, only when engine is cold, or after the vehicle has been standing for a while.

With over five hundred parts in stock to cover the most polpular makes and models, we are able to fit you in with no booking and no waiting for parts to be delivered. As our name suggests (Exhaust Discounts), this is where we specialise, and as one of Yorkshires oldest fitting stations we have excellent buying power and are able to buy direct from the manufacturer. We believe we can offer the best prices in Leeds and are never knowingly beaten. We don't ask you to provide written quotes but if for some reason we are not the best price, tell us and we will do our best to make sure we are.

Tyres

Do you know the legal requirement for the tread on your tyres? 1.6mm is the minimum depth required by law. If your tyres are below this you risk a fine, penalty points and a higher risk of injuring yourself and others in an accident.

With so many tyre makes and sizes available today, we just don't have the room to stock them all. But, we do stock the most popular sizes in our economy range (Federal) and the best price branded tyres (Firestone). We still have access to all the other makes and sizes through our local suppliers and can be obtained within the hour. All our prices quoted include new valve, balancing, old casing disposal and Vat.

Airconditioning Servicing

Trained and certified to handle refrigerant and equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment, we are able to provide a full airconditioning repair service, wether it's just a regas, service or repair.

Wheel Tracking/Steering geometry

Using new modern equipment we are able to adjust the steering geometry of your vehicle to manufacturers specifications. This ensures you get the best ride comfort with a perfectly straight steering wheel, also more importantly, you will get the best possible wear from your tyres and can even give you better fuel economy, your bit to help the environment.

We are able to adjust the geometry of any axle, front, rear or all four, while you wait.

Mot

Well what can we say about MOT's? Love it, hate it? Well we all know what they are why we need them and they are here to stay. We do have some good news though, We do discount the MOT fee and we provide a free retest if your vehicle is left with us for repair, but, you will need to book. This is the only side of our business that requires you book an appointment, Slots are limited so don't leave it too late. If you have been to us before for an MOT or Service then you will be in our database and will receive a reminder by post. Bring the letter with you and you will receive a 5%* discount on your Service or MOT fee.
